Some of Our Favorite Magazines

We love to read here at the house. Books, magazines, and cereal boxes, you name it, we read it.

Here are two of the magazines we love.

For Her:

womens health pictureWe think Women’s Health is a great all around magazine. Even thought it is not specifically about organics, they are very pro-organics and healthy lifestyle. There are no miracle pills to cure what ails you, but a change in lifestyle and habits is what makes things happen. A big thing that comes across from Women’s Health is the need for balance in your life. In a busy world, where life can run away from you, you need a little balance to keep your sanity.

For him:

mens health
Men’s Health is a companion magazine to Women’s Health. The two magazines have the same style, format and editorial content. No quick cures or fixes, just a change in lifestyle and habits.

The big reason we like these magazines is because they inspire us. The stories of normal people who lost weight and got back in shape, the guy who lost 200 lbs because of hard work and not some miracle cure off the internet, are what people need to get off the couch and back to the exercise equipment.

True, you can get a lot of the content off the internet and find the same materials, but having that paper copy sitting on your end table to pick up and read at a moment’s notice is something all the blogs in the world can’t compare to.

I guess I just love the feel of paper on my fingers and the smell of ink in a new magazine.
